The 4th annual Winter Wonderland Returns to the St. Augustine Amphitheatre

With the St. Augustine Amphitheatre’s Concert Season coming to a close, its the time of year for the beginning of North Florida’s favorite winter themed festival. Now entering its fourth year, the wildly popular Winter Wonderland festival returns to the St. Augustine Amphitheatre starting November 19th and running through January 2nd. Over the past three years more than 100,000 people have enjoyed the Holiday Season with the St. Augustine Amphitheatre and made it a part for their family tradition!Critics have praised the festival as being “A Huge Success” and that “Taking a Chance on Ice Pays Off”. Last year’s “Winter Wonderland is a Hit!”. Winter Wonderland has even been featured in the Emmy Award Winning News segment “Florida on a Tank full”, in National magazines like “Coastal Living” & even covered by Associated Press Travel Writers.

This year, will see the return of favorites such as the Ice Rink, Ice Slide, Carriage Rides, Elf Village, Candy Cane Forest, Elf Express Train Ride, S’mores Pit, Reindeer Games, Blizzard Bounce House and Photos with Santa, but the Winter Wonderland experience will get a facelift as the décor is re-imagined, and will feature a few 100 % new activities & offers more convenient ticketing options.

  • The Ice Skating Rink will feature “Chandelier” style lighting & oversized Christmas Decorations
  • New Reindeer Games will be added
  • The Fire Pit has been updated to accommodate various sized groups

100% NEW improvements include:

“The Igloo” a Winter Themed Ski Lounge.  This room will offer seasonal winter beverages, Multiple TV Screens airing Satellite & a closed circuit viewing of the ice rink, an Electric Fireplace and more!

I’m dreaming of a Green Christmas? This year, some of the decorations will be more energy efficient by using LED lights opposed to the traditional bulbs. These LED lights use less energy, emit little to no heat, and are more durable so that will last for years to come. The Candy Cane Forest is 50 % more efficient and the Giant Christmas Tree will feature 100% LED lights.

These cans will go to feed the homeless and needy families of St. Johns County. Collection bins will be onsite near the administration offices.
