Schools

This past December, the St. Johns County Education Foundation welcomed Brandee Anderson as the Supplemental Educational Services (SES) Program Coordinator. The SES is a tutoring program that provides free tutoring in reading and math to struggling students in the county.

Anderson, a former classroom teacher, will oversee the program for the Foundation by managing all the tutors in the county that provide services to underprivileged children.   “I am excited to be part of this essential program that positively impacts and enriches our students’ academic experiences,” said Anderson.

Currently, four Title 1 schools are involved in the SES Program and over three hundred students are currently being served. Anderson and the SJCEF are looking forward to expanding those numbers in the future.
