Owner of Freedom Boat Club Competes in Dancing with the Stars, Jax |

Born and raised a Floridian, who claims to bleed salt water when she gets cut, Lisa Almeida has enough energy to power the fleet of 20 boats she currently owns.  It’s a fuel that burns full throttle, ignited by her love and passion for the water. With a 25-year career in Sales and Marketing and the label from her friends and Colleagues, as “Queen Marketer” she is in the perfect position as the Owner of the Freedom Boat Club, Jacksonville and St. Augustine, Florida. 

She graduated from Flagler College with a B.A. in Drama, and courses in Marketing and Business Administration. An avid boater her whole life, she came to Freedom Boat Club and was able to marriage her love of the water, with a great business.

The world’s largest members-only boating club enjoys  sharing the joy of boating with some who otherwise, may not have the opportunity. “We want to give back to the community that has been so good to us,” said Lisa Almeida, who manages the Jacksonville affiliate of the Freedom Boat Club. “So we have decided to pick one charitable organization each month to work with and share the resources of the Freedom Boat Club.”

So when she got a phone call asking her to fund raise for Special Olympics, the answer was of course, YES. Almeida was asked to be in Jacksonville's Dancing with the Stars, a local fund raising event for Special Olympics."I have always loved to dance, and now to get to do that, and represent The Freedom Boat Club, well, it is just fun" Lisa will be doing "The Hustle", an old dance redone, with her professional instructor Shay Dixon.

Shay is an Instructor at Boleros on Atlantic Blvd, and a World Champion Ballroom Dancer."This event has been fun, especially working with all the folks at  A Social Affair, the studio that sponsors the event. Lisa has been working hard, both raising money, and on her routine."
