JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- On Wednesday, August 15th, the Jacksonville branch of the Freedom Boat Club is pairing up with 121 Financial Credit Union and taking 40 children from the Florida Baptist Children’s Homes (FBCH) for a day of adventure on the river. The students will be treated to a variety of activities including exploring local waterways, searching for manatees and wildlife, recreation in a park, and enjoying a picnic lunch on the water.
“I am so excited to have the ability to provide the boating experience for those who otherwise might not have the chance” said Lisa Almeida, who manages the Jacksonville affiliate of the Freedom Boat Club. Almeida adds, “ It’s great to have organizations like FBCH and 121 to team up with so that together we can provide a 3-way support system for charities”.
