Christmas on the Creek, Dec. 4th

Decorating the trees and the house aren’t the only ways to bring in the holiday cheer here in the River City. The Julington Creek Prop Club is holding their annual “Christmas on the Creek” boat parade on Saturday December 4, 2010. The parade is an event that residents and friends look forward to all year long. All boat owners are invited to deck their boats with boughs of holly and of course, as many lights as they can handle.

Faces of the First Coast 2011 Go Red For Women Casting Call

The American Heart Association’s “Go Red For Women” movement is calling on women and men who live in the region to submit their heart health stories for the 2011 “Faces of the First Coast” casting call. If chosen, applicants will become representatives of the local public awareness campaign beginning in the spring of 2011. In addition, local winners will be eligible for submission to the American Heart Association’s national “Go Red For Women” casting call. Members of the “Faces of the First Coast” work to bring the dangers, signs and symptoms of cardiovascular disease to our community. They represent, exemplify and advocate for the mission of Go Red For Women through education and awareness.

St. Augustine Community Ballet's Nutcracker: Tickets on Sale Now

A special holiday event, The St. Augustine Community Ballet’s Nutcracker will be on stage at Flagler College Auditorium from December 17 through December 19. Artistic director, Luis Abella and choreographers, Rogelio and Lydia Corrales have assembled a cast of over 50 performers that includes local talent as well as professional dancers.  Students from eleven St. Johns County schools, homeschoolers and two Palm Coast schools are in the production as well as some local St. Augustine ‘celebrities.’

The 4th annual Winter Wonderland Returns to the St. Augustine Amphitheatre

With the St. Augustine Amphitheatre’s Concert Season coming to a close, its the time of year for the beginning of North Florida’s favorite winter themed festival. Now entering its fourth year, the wildly popular Winter Wonderland festival returns to the St. Augustine Amphitheatre starting November 19th and running through January 2nd. Over the past three years more than 100,000 people have enjoyed the Holiday Season with the St. Augustine Amphitheatre and made it a part for their family tradition!

Emma Concert Series: State Street Ballet "Cinderella"

World Golf Hall of Fame Fall Putting Classic

Saturday and Sunday: November 13-14

Golfers are invited to participate in the inaugural Fall Putting Classic Nov. 13-14 for a chance to win more than $3,000 in prizes. Qualifying rounds will begin Saturday, Nov. 13 followed by a complimentary reception at the Hall of Fame's Challenge Hole where Sunday qualifiers will be announced and teams will have a chance at a closest-to-the-pin contest. The registration fee for this event is $35 per person which includes greens fee, a goody bag and entry to the reception. The field will be limited to 72 teams. Plus, active duty, reserve and retired military personnel receive free admission to the World Golf Hall of Fame and a round of golf on the putting course -- simply download the free admission form from the website. Compassion 5K Walk/Run

Join a Fun to Help Others event sponsored by the Sertoma Medical Professionals. This Compassion 5K has rolling changes in topography that will both begin and end on Shore Blvd and Santa Maria Blvd in the St. Augustine Shores neighborhood.  The entire course is run on a hard-surface, asphalt road.  The course has hills and curves, so be prepared for a challenging, yet exhilarating 5K run!
