ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Strangers helped strangers Saturday throughout St. Johns County.
Carefest is the name of the event, and it keeps getting bigger and bigger every year.
It's a program which brings together churches and people in need.
John Clifton with Somebody Cares St. Augustine said more than 800 volunteers from 30 different churches and organizations joined together to work on 97 projects across the county Saturday.
The volunteers did yard work, painted homes, made home repairs, worked at schools and at non-profit locations.
Many of the recipients are unable to physically do the work or financially incapable of having the work done.
Carefest 2012 is a program through Somebody Cares St. Augustine. For more information go to: carefeststaugustine.com.
