99.9 Gator Country presents a benefit concert for Children’s Miracle Network featuring Mercury Records Nashville artists Julianne Hough and Randy Montana on Friday, December 17th at Mavericks at the Jacksonville Landing. Tickets are just $10 at the door and proceeds benefit the Children’s Miracle Network.

Jacksonville Couple Chosen for First Times Square New Year's Wedding

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- How many guests make for a "full house" at a wedding? One local couple will have about a million.

Bethany Philips and Geoffrey Dubie, who live in Jacksonville, met in Iraq while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. They live in Jacksonville.

They entered a contest to be the first people ever married in a ceremony at Times Square on New Year's Eve.

After looking through nearly 2,000 entries, Get Married Media chose Philips and Dubie to say "I do" as the ball drops with the world watching.

Philips, originally from Georgia, is heading to Florida State College Jacksonville to study nursing, and Dubie, from North Carolina, is studying at Jacksonville University.

The couple chose Jacksonville to start their life together after their service in the military.

Jaguars trade safety Anthony Smith to Green Bay; sign cornerback Chevis Jackson

The Jacksonville Jaguars and the Green Bay Packers finalized a trade today with safety Anthony Smith going to the Packers in exchange for an undisclosed draft pick. In addition, the Jaguars signed third-year cornerback Chevis Jackson.

Christian Recording Artist Eva Pike To Record Music Video At Florida Baptist Children’s Homes

On Friday, October 15, 2010, up and coming Christian recording artist Eva Kroon Pike will be recording her music video “Grace That Chose Me” at Huguenot Park and also at Florida Baptist Children’s Homes. Her video will feature adoptive families and also foster children living at Florida Baptist Children’s Homes.

“Grace That Chose Me” is a song about adoption. Eva has chosen adoption as her platform, since she herself was adopted at 10 weeks of age. The music video will also feature Eva with her adopted mother. She has chosen Florida Baptist Children’s Homes as her charity of choice.
