Ponte Vedra High School Climbs Higher in FHSAA All Sports Rankings

In Floyd E Lay, Sunshine Cup rankings, released by the FHSAA last week, Ponte Vedra High School has finished the 2010-11 school year as the 7th ranked, overall, athletic program in Class 4A.  The Sunshine Cup standings are calculated by accumulating points for post season play in all sports, while points are deducted for unsportsmanlike activity.

Ponte Vedra, open for just three years, earned 457 points to place in the 7 slot, trailing only 2 public schools in the rankings.  The Ponte Vedra boys teams finished third in Class 4A, behind only private-boys only schools, Tampa Jesuit and Belen Jesuit of Miami.
