Photo Gallery | Three Fruit Cove Teens Arrested in Connection with Burglary
Three St. Johns County teenagers were arrested in connection with a burglary to a Fruit Cove home in October.
According to a press release from St. Johns Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Kevin Kelshaw, the suspects 16-year-old Jordan Michael Golden and 15-year-old Cameron Matthew Straughn, are charged with armed burglary to a dwelling, dealing in stolen property and grand theft. They were taken into custody of the juvenile justice authorities yesterday.
The third suspect, 16-year-old Gavin Michael Loftus is charged with dealing in stolen property and obstruction by giving false information to a law enforcement officer.
The victim discovered a burglary at his residence when he arrived home from work Oct. 25, and reported assorted jewelry, several iPods, prescription medication and a .380 handgun stolen.
Some of the items, including the gun, have been recovered and returned to the victim as the investigation continues.
